Dan is married to Shellie. Along with their children Kayla, Parker and Victoria, they hope one day someone of sufficient historical significance will live in their house so it can attain first name status as the homes of other Board members. When the family is between driving to kids' sports practices, they enjoy boating from the WABA dock and cajoling fellow WABA members that pass in front of their house, which enjoys an ample 8 feet of set back from 103rd Avenue, in for an afternoon libation. They also contribute to the community by being home to a 300 year old Sequoia in their back yard that is a constant source of enjoyment and dead grass.Dan joined the Board in 2008 and served as Vice-President. Upon being named President in 2009 he announced a sweeping stimulus package, indicating he wanted to work with both sides of the WABA aisle (Upper and Lower Villagers, View and Non-View Holders) to bring Hope and Change, real Change, to the community with a promise of less government by one hour Board meetings, a bail-out of decrepit Bar-B-Q pits, and caps on out of control WABA Board member compensation.
Matt and Leslie Leber purchased the Rutledge cabin in 2004 - an old Sears & Roebuck kit house that was held up by cables attached to the central chimney. They designed and built their house, which was completed in 2006. Leslie joined the board in 2008 as Membership Chair. She encourages everyone to get involved in WABA and Village events and activities!
Andy and Robin Stefan moved into the Village in 1976. During their over 30 years as Villagers they have raised two sons who were beach boys, watermeter readers and Town newsletter delivery persons. Andy was on the WABA Board from 1980-1982, serving as President in 1982. He was elected to the WABA Board again in 2008. Andy has also served on the Planning Commission, and has participated on special committees for the Town and WABA. Andy and Robin sailed in BARF for 14 years and continue their enjoyment of Lake Washington in a powerboat.
